You are in fact trying to make your dream wedding come true.

However, one thing you may have never thought about is how you treat the things when your big day finishes. Your gown is certainly one of the examples. Have you even thought about how you will treat your gown after your most important event in your life? In most cases you may have never thought about that. In fact, the dress may cost you thousands of dollars. And it seems that it will become useless after your wedding. It will not be environmental friendly if you decide to throw it away. Instead, you should find some ways to make it useful again.

First of all, you will need to keep your wedding dress in a good condition. This is the most important. If you fail to keep it in a good condition, it will become useless at the end of the day. However, it can still be useful if you can really store your gown in an appropriate place such that you can keep it in a good condition.

If it is possible, you may lend your dress to your other family members when they get married. Remember, the wedding dress is something very expensive. You may want to help your family members to save some money on it. As a result, lending your dress to your family members can be one of the options.

If you can keep your gown for an even longer time, you may be able to let your daughter wear your gown when she gets married. It will be very sweet of you if she can wear the one you wore when you got married. This will make the wedding dress a lot more meaningful. Of course your daughter may need to take the gown for some alteration. However, it will still be a good idea for the two generations to wear the same gown.

If you think none of your family members will be interested in your gown, you will still have some options. One of your options is to sell your dress. There is in fact a large market for second hand wedding gowns. A lot of brides will try to seek for such second hand items in order to save more money for their big day. Yet you have to remember that you must keep your gown in a really good condition otherwise no one will be eager to purchase your dress. You can donate the money you get from your dress and help the others. This will make your wedding more meaningful.
