5 Tips For a Champagne Wedding on a Shoestring Budget by Dee Power

Are you faced with planning a wedding on a shoestring budget? Considering the state of today's economy, you can rest assured that you're not alone. Many brides-to-be are in the same boat. You can have a champagne wedding on a shoestring budget.

The good news is this: there are many things you can do that will actually help you save money on your wedding. You can still have a beautiful day, without spending thousands of dollars in the process.

Tip number one. Develop a budget. Be honest with yourself and your fiance about how much you can reasonably spend for your wedding. You can do some preliminary estimates by going to websites and seeing how much a three tiered wedding cake costs, a dramatic bridal bouquet, centerpieces, invitations, and so forth. Once you set a budget limit, stick to it. It's easy to get carried away and decide that the darling tissue paper liners for the save the date cards are a must have and add only $100 to the total cost of the invitations. The problem is that if you keep adding $100 here and there you'll end up thousands over budget.

Tip number two. Decide what's important to you. If you've always dreamed of a beautifully embroidered wedding gown with yards of lace then cut back in other areas. Or find a wedding gown that fulfills your dream but is second hand. Because most dresses are only worn once, opting for a 'gently used' gown is almost like purchasing a new one... for a whole lot less.

Many bridal shops carry at least a small selection of used wedding dresses. You can also utilize online resources such as eBay. You will probably be surprised at the number of 'designer' gowns that are currently up for grabs, for a fraction of the price.

Tip number three. Determine what you truly want. You might think that a sit down formal dinner is the only alternative for your wedding but what you really want is to share a wonderful meal with friends and family. There are alternatives to that sit down dinner. A buffet is a great idea and cuts costs, or what about an elegant boxed lunch picnic? Or perhaps consider a selection of appetizers instead of a full meal.

Tip number four. Offer your guests the opportunity to help pay for your wedding as their wedding gift. Several of your friends could decide to pay for or supply the wine for your wedding. Others could participate in paying for the wedding cake, music, photographer, and so forth. This isn't as crass as asking for cash donations directly and it makes your guests feel they made more of a contribution to your happy day than just showing up.

Tip number five. Research, research, RESEARCH! There are many websites that provide information on low-cost weddings. Take the time to visit several of them. Chances are you will run across MANY great ideas that you may not have thought of on your own.

The websites don't necessarily have to be geared specifically toward weddings. Even sites such as Better Homes & Gardens and Redbook often feature wedding related articles.

Follow these tips and you can have a beautiful wedding on a shoestring budget.

Top Warning Signs of a Cheating Spouse by John Morgan

Do you worry that your spouse is cheating on you? Have you seen some suspicious activity and aren't sure what it means or maybe you just need some confirmation that what you are seeing is real.

If you are feeling that something is wrong, then there is a good chance that you are right. It is important to learn the signs and if your suspicions are right, you need to learn strategies and methods for dealing with the emotional pain.

You have to ask yourself the question; do you want to save the relationship and get your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend back or do you want to let it go? This will require some soul searching, but it will be important to act quickly before it is too late. Finding out in the early stages of cheating give you a better chance of mending the relationship than if you wait until the distance between you widens to the stage where divorce becomes inevitable. All relationships are salvagable, if you want it bad enough.

Here are some warning signs that your significant other is cheating: ~ The cheating spouse tends to be more attentive to the other spouse at the beginning of an affair, due to the guilt of cheating.

~ In order to justify the affair a cheating spouse will often find fault with the other spouse.

~ Cheating spouses lose interest in the activities at home. They may even lose interest in you and the children. The house may begin to show signs of disrepair, including dirty dishes, laundry, lawn care and other simple house repairs that used to get fixed.

~ You simply "feel" like something is wrong. This usually is a good sign that something "is" wrong and you should check it out. ~ Your sex life changes. You may have more or less sex then usual and the cheater will make unusual sexual requests. ~ There is an obvious change in attitude towards everyone in the house, expecially the other spouse. Everything becomes your fault and the cheater has a more angry demeanour. ~ Finances are suspicious. You find unusual expenses, receipts, credit card bills or unusual amounts of cash in the wallet.

~ Grooming habits change. Cheaters tend to pay more attention to their personal appearance...like they are trying to impress someone. They may dress differently, groom their hair differently, switch colognes or perfume, etc... ~ Often there is evidence left behind. Look for lipstick on the collar, odors of cologne/perfume, underwear stains. Also check wallets or glove compartments for receipts, paper with phone numbers, addresses, condoms, etc.

~ You may find some red flags by monitoring your spouse for a couple of weeks. Keep track of the mileage in the car, the time they leave and come home from work. This should help establish a pattern. If your spouse claims to be working overtime, check the paystub for extra income. ~ Listen carefully to home phone calls. Your spouse might begin to whisper, leave the room or give quick answers and immediately hang when you come in the room.

~ Check your spouses cell phone for suspicious and unrecognizable phone numbers. Check for frequency and length of the call. Also check the cell phone bill and look for the first number called when your spouse leaves for work and the last number called before your spouse returns home.

~ When a female has an affair they tend to have a "glow" about them. They are also more discreet in their affair and selection of lovers.

But having a budget wedding doesn't mean a cheap or tacky wedding either. Many brides discover that if they in searching out their many options when it comes to:

How to Get Back Your Ex - A Surefire 3-Step Plan by Keith L. Jones

When you first break up, you'll find yourself having all sorts of thoughts and emotions. This is a dangerous time for you! And... it's a time you shouldn't be making decisions about your relationship and how to get back your ex!

It might seem strange that I'm telling you now isn't the time to be making decisions about how to get back your ex, because your first instinct is to try and get your ex back as soon as you can. You'll be worried they might find someone else or that they'll fall out of love with you.

However, it's important to put those thoughts to one side and focus your attention on an action plan that will have your ex begging for you to come back.

So, instead of rushing in like a bull at a gate, step back, let go and give yourself time by following this 3-step plan to get back your ex...

Step 1 - Stop Everything

Give yourself a day or two to think things through and to calm your thoughts. Preferably, go away for a couple of days. Book yourself into a hotel, away from friends and family.

The last thing you want at this time is advice from others, however well-meaning they are. This is your life and you need to make your own decisions.

Don't use this time to feel sorry for yourself. Use it to simply gather your thoughts, accept the situation and start to create an action plan to win back your ex.

Use the time to gather your thoughts and prepare for the comments and thoughts of friends and family. They'll all want to help and they'll all have a view as to what you should do.

How are you going to handle them?

What are you going to say?

Think through your answers, but whatever you do, don't enter into conversations that bad-mouth your ex and don't let others do it in front of you. Find ways to change the subject. Find your way to deal with things.

Step 2 - Stay Away From Your Ex... For Now

This is very important. Chasing after your ex immediately after a break-up will cause more harm than good and will probably drive them away for ever.

Your emotions and your ex's emotions will be all over the place and contact at this time will simply lead to arguments and will reinforce in your ex's mind why you separated in the first place.

You both need space and time to come to terms with your thoughts and emotions at this very difficult time, so don't be tempted to contact them. Instead, move on to step 3...

Step 3 - Create An Action Plan

This step vital to your success! Random actions like sending presents, calling on impulse or turning up out of the blue will almost certainly lead to failure.

So, avoid the temptation to dive in and do something straight away.

Remember step 1?

It's important to let go and calm yourself before you do anything.

OK, back to step 3...

To get back your ex, you'll need to attract them back to you.

You'll need to create a plan that will make them fall in love with you all over again...

A plan that'll show your ex things will be different when you get back together...

A plan that'll convince your ex you can be together for ever.

At this point you're creating curiosity, attraction, passion and love from your ex. Think of it as winning them over for the first time. If you can get your ex to feel those sort of emotions, they'll overpower anything that's been felt in the past.

Think carefully about how your relationship was and how you'd like it to be. Above all else, focus on how you want your relationship to be... feel it. Close your eyes and feel your ex in your arms... feel the love between you.

Now, work on ideas to attract your ex back... write them down.

It's at this point that you'll definitely need some advice. Take your time... don't rush into ideas given by others or that you read. Think everything through.

Wedding Invitation Etiquette - Dos and Donts by Cori Russell

They provide the first glimpse into your wedding, but ordering, wording, and addressing invitations can be confusing without a little guidance. This list of wedding invitation etiquette dos and don´ts will help steer you through this common wedding etiquette dilemma.

Invitation Etiquette - The Dos:

# Do invite the partners of guests who are married, engaged, or living with a significant other. Try to find the name of your guest´s intended date (if you don´t already know it), and include that person´s name on the invitation.
# Do send unmarried couples living together one invitation, where their names are listed in alphabetical order and on their own lines. (guests living together as roommates, not couples, should each receive their own invitation)
# Do spell out all dates, times, and states (half after four o´clock in the evening, not 4:30 pm; and the twenty-second of April, not April 22)
# Do put return postage on your response cards.
# Do send wedding invitations at least six weeks before the big day. Try to order invitations three to four months in advance to ensure they go out on time.
# Do abbreviate Mr. and Mrs., but spell out the title Doctor
# Do send a separate invitation to children over the age of 18 still living with their parents.
# Do publicize your wedding registry information by word of mouth only.

Invitation Etiquette - The Don´ts:

# Don´t use punctuation on the invitation, except after abbreviations and between the city and state.
# Don´t print "and Guest" on the outer envelope to indicate to a single friend that he/she may bring a date, as this looks awkward. Print it on inner envelope instead.
# Don´t print "no children" on the invite if you´re planning an adult´s only reception. Simply address each invitation explicitly to your intended guests (i.e. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, not "The Smiths").
# Don´t print wedding registry information on the invitation.
# Don´t forget to invite your officiant and his/her spouse to the reception.
# Don´t include an R.S.V.P for invitations to a ceremony only (by the way, it´s only proper to send invites to only the ceremony if there will NOT be a reception).
# This complete guide to wedding invitations has even more tips and advice to help you plan your invites.

Even more wedding invitation etiquette can be found here, while this complete wedding etiquette guide answers even more of your etiquette questions, such as introducing your parents, gift-giving and receiving, attire, and cash bars.

Stop a Divorce - 3 Giant Mistakes Not to Make when trying to Stop a Divorce by Lisa Dosett

Getting your ex back and trying to stop a divorce seem hard to most people. I’m happy to report that it’s much simpler then you might think. But there are 3 mistakes you must never make.

At first you might think these are the right things to do. But watch out. If you make these errors, your relationship will become much harder to fix. Read this short article and learn what these mistakes are, and how to prevent making them.

First of all, don’t come across as desperate. Human nature tends to go toward things that are positive, and to avoid things that are negative. If you show your ex that you’re needy, or too desperate to get back with them, you’ll send out a very undesirable vibe. Your ex will feel an urge to resist instead of feeing attracted to you. This is a time for you to step back from the relationship a little, and relax. .

Next, never try to blackmail them. Threatening to tell your partners secrets to others will never help your situation. In fact, it will make chances of stopping a divorce more difficult. People enter into a relationship seeking trust, love and support. If your ex feels they’re being blackmailed or threatened, then trust is destroyed.

Finally, don’t waste your time telling them how much you’ve changed. First of all, nobody ever changes overnight. Change takes time, and you both know this. Besides, you know that it’s not words, but actions that count. Just be patient, and let your ex discover how you’ve changed instead of talking about it.

Also, if you would like to learn a set of powerful techniques that will stop a divorce and have your ex begging to get back with you, please stop by my website RELATIONSHIP 911. I would like to share an easy success formula that will allow you to repair your relationship, no matter how hopeless it seems.

Wishing you success as you win back the love of you life, Lisa Dosett

Your Very Important Digital Wedding Photography by Suta

The bride and groom are usually so busy on their wedding day that without photos to remind them, many of the days events would be forgotten. Probably the greatest benefit of digital wedding photography is how quickly the couple and guests can see the photos.

Most wedding photographers have assistants so they can create a wedding album that will be memorable but if you want to take pictures of a friend's wedding, who will help you?Fortunately for wedding photographers they can use an assistant to help them get the right shots but if you're a friend taking pictures, then how do you take good shots of the day?If you want to take photographs of your friend's or relations wedding then you will have to do it on your own because you won't have an assistant like the professionals have. So, if you need some help for a wedding you are to attend and you are going to use a digital camera, then you may find some useful information in this article.

Many amateur photographers make the mistake of taking pictures with a boring background which is not something you want in a wedding photo. If there is a pleasant background but it is hard to focus on the couple, you may find it easier to shoot them from shoulder up.

Spectacled guests can be a problem as glare from their glasses obscures their eyes and reflects back at the camera. If there is someone in the group that you particularly want to take a photograph of but they are in a crowd then try using the zoom, it will give a good close-up that you wouldn't achieve any other way.

Candid shots are also dramatic and these portraits often reveal more than the quality of the picture itself; in fact, many professionals use the zoom to capture intimate and memorable moments. As you can't keep asking people to pose for you, always have the camera to hand because digital wedding photography is just as much about having natural, un-posed for shots.

Probably the most important thing to remember with digital cameras is to have plenty of memory in your camera plus fresh batteries and the best way to ensure this is to always carry spares. For 6 mega pixel cameras and up, the absolute bare minimum should be a 1 gigabyte card, preferably 2 gigabytes and always use the highest resolution your camera can manage if the images are to be printed.

Always remember that the higher the resolution used, the larger the size of prints that can be made so always keep a secure copy of your work so you can re-use them in the future. You can do this by saving albums on your personal computer to free up the space on your memory card or burn them to a cd or dvd.

Digital wedding photography has become firmly established over the last few years and how successful you are will depend on how much you enjoy the challenge.

Prepare Your Wedding Day Speeches by Suta

Wedding can be a stressful event. Some are rough, some are smooth. One of the most stressful events is making a wedding speech. It is completely scary to think of standing up in front of family and friends and making that wedding speech.

Injecting a few witty one lines is good but you have to do it at the right time. Or you might spill the punch line at the start. It is popular amongst grooms to thank their mother in laws for the way the bride has been brought up.One groom thanked his pa in law for gifting him with two! Generally the grooms speech will be on behalf of himself and his new wife and if he knows what is good for him he will praise her to the hilt! The groom speech is made on behalf of both of them and if he knows his beans, would praise his bride lavishly.

The groom would then thank the bridesmaids and call the best man to reply on behalf of them during his speech. All details of their speeches ought to be discussed in advance between the groom and the best man. Here are some I have found:

I would act on this advice.

When does the brain start and stop?

He can hardly prove it!

Our present wife and past lovers.

The most effective way to remember your wedding anniversary is to forget once.

Men need not make the wedding speeches all the time. The mother of the bride and the bride may consider to say a few sentences as deemed appropriate. Of course the dog does not know yet about your research and the free ideas which are in your pocket. As you are rearing to go ahead with your speech, remember not to over do any thing.

Married and Cheating: The Fight Pickers by Daryl Campbell

You both had a bad day at work or maybe due to some miscommunication some pressing family business didn't get done. It could be that the two of you are just tired or that it is just part of your relationship. Whatever it is arguing between married couples just comes with the territory.

But with a cheating spouse quarreling takes on a whole new dimension. It's not just the normal workings of a relationship at play. It is external forces directly affecting the commitment that you and your spouse have made to each other. There are a number of motives at work when a cheating spouse decides to start picking fights.

1. Feeling It

You have been good to your spouse and they know it. You've had your share of ups and downs like any married couple but that only made you a better duo. And now your significant other is throwing that away and they know it. The longer the extramarital affair goes on the greater the guilt. For some it becomes too much of a load to carry so they wind up confessing; for others it means more arguing.

2. Shift Blame

Suddenly it's you that may be the cheating spouse. Your significant other starts telling you they noticed a mutual friend is a little too friendly towards you. It was at that party two weeks ago. The fact that you only saw the person from across the room as they were leaving to go to another party is beside the point. The bottom line is they "caught" you. Shifting blame puts you on the defensive and creates more breathing room for their marital infidelity.

3. The Get Out of the House Argument

Your spouse just got the call from their extramarital partner. It's on. They were expecting it so they already figured out what to do. It's all about knowing which one of your buttons to push. Whether it was a misunderstanding between the two of you that happened way back or a current family issue doesn't matter. As long as it can get you going to the point where they can go somewhere and "cool off”.

4. Resentment

They come back from the rendezvous and you're still there. Your presence may be activating some of that guilt but it also tells the cheating spouse you are spoiling their enjoyment. Coming back into the house and facing the reality means the fun has come to end. That makes them angry and arguing is an a way to let you know it

Continuous arguing has a way of keeping you off balance and filling you with self doubt. There are going to be disputes in any relationship but if your significant other is picking fights with you then it could very well mean they have something to hide.

Three Tricks To Win Back Your Ex by Mark Myers

Every adult has lost a love to a breakup. If this is you, I bet countless people have told you how much better off you are and you should simply move on.

What if you don't like being the victim? What if you want your ex back in your life and are willing to work for it? What if you don't want to just move on?

Less than 10 percent of relationships can't be saved. The deck is stacked in your favor, if you are willing to do this right. The fact is you can get past what broke you up and can live happily ever after. The following tips will help you to get back my ex.

You need to understand what caused your ex to leave. The last thing that happened was probably a fight, an argument, a final straw. Chances are this is not the underlying cause. It is usually a combination of things over time that caused the rift. You are partially to blame. Both of you deserve some of the blame.

Most of the time it is not your actions but an attitude you display. Are you guilty of not listening? Did you take your ex for granted? Are you over critical? Are you too controlling? Do you regularly disrespect them or what they say? Hopefully you get the picture and idea here.

You can say you're sorry for an individual action, however this will not have the same effect of apologizing for the way you made your ex feel.

Here is an example. Would your ex be mad at you because you innocently flirted with another guy or girl, or would they be hurt by the fact that you doing so meant (to them) you have no respect for them?

You have to step into the mind of your ex and see things from their perspective. Which apology would be more likely to get back an ex? I'm sorry I was flirting, or I apologize for not considering how my actions made you feel unappreciated? You can be half way to winning your ex back if you get this right.

Next tip, be strong. This has nothing to do with the muscle tone. People are attracted to strong minds. Do not be needy. Although it may work very short term, no one wants someone who can't stand on their own two feet. We are not much different than animals when it comes to survival of the fittest. As a species, we are naturally attracted to people with a strong character. Not someone who is whiny, clingy and needy. We want a mate who can take care of themselves.

How many ladies are attracted to a complete wimp? How many men want a wife or future mother of your children that is unstable by themselves? We have all been wired from birth to seek this out. Nothing could make you more attractive to your ex than them believing are OK without them.

Lastly, jealousy is the one thing you can do that will ruin your chances of getting your ex back. This is one of the most used and most disaster ridden ploys you can try. Doing this is extremely transparent, and screams to your ex I have to have someone and I can't be alone. You run the real risk of either making them madder at you or glad they don't have to play your games anymore.

Money Can't Buy Love But Marriage Can by Francis K. Githinji

What is the key to happiness? Many people have different answers. People look for it in the most weird places and yet it is so near. Does money make you throw bouts of laughter all the time? Does it make you smile when there is no good reason? When you have money, do you just love automatically? Money can't buy love. If you have never realized people who are wealthy tend to view money as a substitute for love and happiness. If they love someone they usually shower him/her with money. Have you ever listened to a rich man telling you how much they love their mother? If yes, you know what i am talking about since they will brag about how much they provide for them and how money has never been the mother's problem.

I know you really want to know the only gateway to true happiness. Money can't buy love so you better start with changing your mentality. If you plan to have love and happiness, make arrangements of putting a ring on your finger. A wedding is one day full of happiness but your life cannot be based on that single day. Your life can nevertheless be influenced by your marriage. Having a person you love everyday of your life is far much better than being close to cold, fat dollars. Now you know your next mission. Find a perfect special date and hang on for much happiness in life. There is a song that had lines that said that you should marry an ugly woman and be happy for the rest of your life. The theory might be true but do not think that gorgeous ladies do not give happiness. It is only that there is someone else somewhere sacrificing his happiness to work for them.

Research has shown that carrier people rarely love. They are too busy with other professional obsessions. They wake up and go to sleep thinking about their carrier duties. They make money but they rarely enjoy love. The feeling of love and belonging is the ultimate happiness you will ever know. Most people think that when you buy a car, house, or a jet you will be the happiest human being but no. Money can't buy love but love can buy happiness. Marriage is the only sure avenue to happiness because it gives someone a sense of belonging and security. When people are dating, many things can go wrong and you eventually go your separate ways with the person who once gave you a lot of love and happiness.

Marriage brings happiness in the sense that it results into a family institution. A family entails children who are source of great joy to their parents. Imagine your life without your children and their father or your children without their mother? It would be complete sadness. Single parents are not badly off and believe you me that they would be happier if both parents were present. Money can't buy love but it can buy security to the family that gives you love and happiness.

Why He Is Not Giving A Marriage proposal by Francis K. Githinji

He keeps saying you are the right woman for him but two years down the line there is no marriage proposal. You keep wondering why he has not popped the question, yet each time you threaten to leave he pleads and begs you not to go. Your patience is running out and you would like to know why he is not proposing. There could be several reasons as to why he is not doing so. Men are interesting creatures and just like women there are some men who fear commitments. You could argue that the two of you are in a committed relationship but fact is they view getting married as more commitment than having a girlfriend. To them, marriage is about accounting to every little thing they do to you for are a part of them.

The man could not be making a marriage proposal because he is not yet prepared in terms of findances to enter into a marriage institution. Marriage involves a lot of things that if a man is not yet financially stable he will not propose. Recently I overheard a conversation between a son and a mother, the son was telling his mother that he was too busy the previous day that he could not find time to eat. The mother then told him to find himself a wife and the answer that came out actually amused me. He told his mother he was not ready to have a wife because he was not yet ready financially. Even if you think you are going to chip in financially and help your mate in the running of the household, your boyfriend could be thinking he has to have enough to take care of you and later the children. If he does not, the proposal will not becoming very soon.

If the two of you are of the same age, most probably you are thinking of getting married while he is still thinking of having a little fun before he finally settles down. He still has so many years while your biological clock is already giving you some warnings that if you do not get yourself a baby now you might just as well adopt or have a surrogate mother do it for you. A man would still be fertile in his old age and have a baby of his own. Maybe it is time you did yourself a favor and left him because most probably a marriage proposal may not be forth coming unless you talked about it.

You might not be getting a marriage proposal because he is scared of rejection. No matter how sure he is about you, he could be scared that if he popped the question you might say no. You should try to find out from him in a tactful way what is going on. Men do not also want to worry about the day they will be walking down the aisle. This day has got a lot of preparations and a lot of things to do that they would rather not. If this is what is worrying your man, a proposal might never come from his end, you should do him a favor and propose to him yourself and tell him you will take care of everything else.

Synchronizing sex: Time To Bring Passion Back In Your Marriage by Francis K. Githinji

Many couples who are married know the experience of having to sleep next to someone who has no interest in sex. It is so disappointing when your partner is snoring next to you while your passion cannot allow you to sleep even a wink. Mismatched libidos are a problem to many couples and there should be a way of synchronizing sex for more fulfilling married lives. If you are okay when you have sex once a month while your spouse wishes you would have it every other day, you should act with lightning speed and try to harmonize your sex hormones. I know it didn't begin like this so what went wrong? This is a state known to therapists as sexual desire discrepancy. This is a state where one partner does not feel like having sex after sometime of living together. At first you couldn't keep your hands off each other but now you seem like you have fallen out of passion with each other.

During the few first days of sleeping together, the excitement and novelty of discovering each other boosts sexual desire due to the release of high level of hormones. As the relationship advances, initial infatuation period runs out resulting into normal individaul libido levels. People have different levels of sexual desires under normal circumstances. Some are low, medium and some have very high libidos. This does not mean that the levels remain constant throughout a person's life. It might be affected by life experiences from time to time. Somethings like diseases and stress can cause the desire to wax and wane. Synchronizing sex is an important exercise even at those low moments in life. Sex is a proved morale booster in many situations.

In long-term relationships, moments of desire discrepancy are unavoidable but if a couple is dedicated in synchronizing sex they usually find it easy to work around their differences. If couples are not aware of this, they might result to feeling guilty or rejected. Conjugal rights must be provided in marriage and that is why the less interested party might feel guilty or frustrated by their failure to meet the intimacy obligation. The more interested spouse migh feel unloved, unwanted or rejected. Couples should understand that it is not always that they feel passionate about each other at the same time. In a recent study, only 50% of happily married couples engage in sex when both spouses are aroused and desirous at the same time.

In an effort to synchronizing sex, people should understand the sexual difference between a man and a woman. A psychologist at Case Western Reserve university explains that, if a man is physically and sexually aroused, nothing else can affect his sexual function. He is all ready to have sex. For a woman, she must be emotionally motivated in order to have sexual interest as Kingberg explains. If a woman is stressed sex will not be a thing to look forward to but another sex factor. It is tolerance and understanding that keeps the fire burning in marriage.

Trust In Relationships - Is This A Requirement For The Success of a Marriage or Relationship? by Leo Ryan

Trust in relationships could be considered one of the essential requirements for the success of a good marriage or relationship. It is essential for a healthy relationship.

Trust is absolutely pivotal in order for a relationship to work. Where there is no trust, it effects the relationship in so many ways, and there are relationship questions, like cheating relationship questions.

When there is a lack of trust there is continuous suspicion and doubt about many things, raising a lot of relationship questions to ask.

One is left questioning everything, and wondering if certain behavior or activities are other examples of a breach of trust in the relationship.

So much so that it can get to the point where a person is so effected they are never able to be at ease, even thinking that cheating in relationships, is part of what happens in relationships.

When the couple are not together, whether this be during the day when each is at work, or if one party is out somewhere else at other times.

This lack of trust in the relationship, can be effecting the person so much who feels there has been a violation of trust, that asking relationship questions becomes a constant focus.

They can be thinking, "what is he/she up to now," "can I be sure they are where they said they would be, or are going."

The effects can be devastating, and have a major impact on the ongoing level of confidence in the marriage.

Trust in relationships can become an issue with some couples if one of the partners has a friendship with a person of the opposite sex.

There tends to be a belief with a lot of people, that it is not possible to have platonic relationships with anyone not of the same sex.

This can be a relationship issue threatening trust in relationships no matter how long people have been together or what age they are, and can become a serious relationship problem.

This is rather a shame, as it is surely possible to have platonic relationships without suspecting there has to be sexual activity involved, leading to having grounds for a lack of trust in relationships.

Unfortunately, this is very common, as there is such a strong view generally, that men and women can't have platonic relationships.

This can be the case, particularly with people who have cynical attitudes who tend to be skeptical and distrustful in their approach to life.

Another threat to trust in relationships can be if either partner has experienced a breakdown in trust in a previous relationship.

Sometimes people have not come to terms with this issue from a former relationship, and it can be useful to seek professional help if that is the case.

Associated with this, is that there can be self esteem issues that need to be addressed. In simple terms, it can be a matter of,"I wasn't good enough before, how can I be now".

There can be ongoing lack of trust in relationships. In a lot of marriages and relationships there is clear evidence for the distrust.

When this happens, it is unlikely the relationship can survive to the satisfaction of both partners, in which case it is going to be preferable for the couple not to stay together and to consider ways to end relationships.

It is simply a matter of good relationships are built on trust, and without it, there is no foundation for the survival of the relationship.

I have tended to focus on the issues associated with when there is a lack, or breakdown of trust, in relationships.

It is important to emphasize that when there is trust in relationships, it is a wonderful experience for you.

It means you can be at ease with each other and have a totally different experience. You have a connection and level of intimacy that is intense and deep-seated, allowing you to enjoy life to the fullest.

You have such a level of trust in your relationship that is beyond the wildest dreams of most people, and you feel very special.

How To Select Bridesmaids For Your Wedding by Jnet Verra

Your wedding is one of the grandest events that will happen in your life. You'll need careful preparation to make it successful and memorable not only for you and your beloved, but also for all your wedding attendees. Included in your to-do list is to choose your wedding participants like groomsmen, best man, maid of honor, bridesmaids, flower girl, ring bearer and many more. This task isn't easy as you imagine, many couple find it very challenging for they need to choose individuals that are responsible enough to play their specific role. Choosing bridesmaids for instance is a stressful and head cracking task for some brides. The bride needs to make a smart and proper decision in choosing bridesmaids that are responsible enough to be in-charge of assisting the maid of honor.

Traditionally, bridesmaids can be the bride's sisters, best friends or co-workers. For other well-blessed brides, they already have an idea who are the girls that are ideal to play the role of bridesmaids even before their soon-to be groom proposed, but for others, choosing wedding participants is a huge challenge. One major factor to this problem is the excessive choices of eligible bridesmaids that makes it difficult to narrow down. Or perhaps a shortage of bridesmaids options that is very difficult to find.

If you happen to have wide choices of ideal bridesmaids to choose from, consider making a list and choose the girls that are very close to you â€" this will also depend upon your desired number of bridesmaids. Choose which ones you've known the longest and have supported you from the start. If you made a list that's too long, then simply remove people that are there just because of obligation. You can remove from your list someone like your odd sister if your aren't comfortable having her as your bridesmaid. This may seem to be impolite, but if you'd like, you can always address the issue properly and directly. However, don't feel guilty by asking someone just because you have to do it. To make your wedding party a success, it should include people whom you'd like to share the happiest moment of your life with.

Before making your bridesmaids ready for your wedding, you need to make it clear with them what obligations they need to do. Think of traditional obligations for bridesmaids, do they need to be involved in detailed wedding preparation? Or just simply being present on your wedding day. If their presence is needed during the pre-wedding preparation then you need to choose bridesmaids like closest friends, sister and other close relatives that can make themselves available during the planning and preparation. Also, consider choosing people that are comfortable with each other while doing group works. No bride would want to end up having bickering bridesmaids during her wedding day.

To end up your wedding party, show your appreciation by giving gifts for bridesmaids. You may consider simple or unique bridesmaids gift such as personalized tote bags, purses, handbags and clutches that they will surely appreciate. You can find different choices for bridesmaids' gifts both at local and online stores. After all, these girls helped you a lot not just physically but also they've supported you emotionally.

Are you a Pursuer? Or a Distancer? by Irene Oudyk-Suk, MACS, MSW

Jason hasn't said much for the last few days. Sally, his wife, has talked quite a bit. Sally processes life by commenting on it verbally as it passes her by. Jason does his reflecting internally. He shares when asked, although sometimes Sally has to drag it out of him. Such is the normal ebb and flow of Jason and Sally's marriage. It works quite well. Mostly.

This pattern gets Sally and Jason into trouble when they deal with conflict. Sally expresses a concern and Jason makes a gesture or verbal remark that says, "Do we have to talk about this?" Sally feels misunderstood and tries harder to get her point across. Jason, dismayed that the hoped for return-to-harmony has gone up in smoke, tries to ease the mounting tension with a face that looks to Sally like a stone wall. Sally feels ignored and slighted and so she takes up the chase again. Now Jason feels under attack. He's thinking, "Can't we just be warm and comfortable with each other?" Sally is stewing. "He doesn't care what I say!" Sally says something critical. Jason withdraws further. It's a pursue-distance dynamic that soon has Jason accusing Sally "nagging" and Sally pleading with Jason to "just listen to me."

Thankfully Sally and Jason are able to speak together about how they alienate each other at times. Sally expresses an irrational fear that "chasing" Jason could drive him out of their marriage. Jason reassures Sally. Jason shares with Sally, not for the first time, how he learned to shut down long ago in order to deflect his father's never-ending criticism. Recognizing the pursue-distance dynamic of their relationship helps Sally and Jason reconnect before the withdrawal and nagging spiral out of control...

In my work as a couple's therapist I regularly see the pursue-distance pattern at work. It can so completely take over a couple's relationship that neither partner feels safe or loved enough to speak honestly about their vulnerabilities and fears.

Do you ever experience this dynamic in your closest relationship? Follow these steps:

1.Own your role in the pattern. 2.Stop questioning your partner's motives. 3.Wonder how you impact your partner. Ask him or her. These steps, practiced regularly, are an excellent way to ensure that the pursue-distance does not take over your relationship.

The Hot Relationship: Send a Glub by Irene Oudyk-Suk, MACS, MSW

My husband sent me a text message recently. It read, "237 glubs for you." I have no idea what a glub is. But I smiled anyway! I sent him a message back: "237 x 4.5 glubs back to you." We've been sending each other silly glub messages ever since.

My husband's glub message was a bid for connection. I could have ignored his message, or been less positive in my response. I confess that often I do ignore or lightly pass over my husband's connection bids. After all I'm a busy person.

Ignoring a connection bid or responding to a connection bid by changing the subject isn't always intentional. Given the demands of work, family, exercise goals, commutes, community activities, church involvement and kids games, a positive response to a partner's glub is understandably overlooked.

Marital researcher John Gottman has found that the masters of marriage don't ignore bids for connection. Marriage masters frequently turn to their partners with a bid for connection and their partners respond positively to those connection bids.

Another possible response to a bid for connection is a hostile response. Naturally a plethora of hostile responses to connection bids are poison for a relationship.

But the most surprising finding in Dr. Gottman's research is the effect of neutral responses to connection bids. A pattern of consistently bland or neutral responses to connection bids pointed to a marriage disaster in the making.

So the next time your partner sends a glub your way don't respond by asking about the laundry. Send a glub back. Better yet, send a glub x 4.5 back.

Taming the Tiger: Finishing Fights Well by Irene Oudyk-Suk, MACS, MSW

Think back to the last fight you had with your spouse. Put aside the "what" you were fighting about and zero in on how you felt. Were you "flooded" with intense emotion? Did you feel physically overwhelmed? Were your muscles tense, your palms sweaty? Was your heart pounding, your face hot and flushed? Was it difficult to think clearly? Did you attack your partner in a manner you later regretted?

It was almost as if you were face to face with a saber-toothed tiger!

And in fact, your body was reacting as if your partner was a man-(or woman) eating tiger. As conflict escalates, your brain automatically floods the body with adrenalin and other hormones to prepare you to either fight or flee. Reason and logic fly out the window. After all, when it comes to a dangerous tiger, common sense takes second place to survival.

But, of course, your spouse is not a saber-toothed tiger. And when you and your partner find yourself in this situation, no resolution is possible until you get over the "fight or flee" reaction to conflict.

Marital researcher Dr. John Gottman recommends that couples both learn to recognize the physical signs of emotional flooding, and agree ahead of time to take at least a twenty-minute break when they sense such flooding. Why? Because it takes at least 20 minutes for the fight or flee hormones to subside once the body no longer senses danger. The break works even better if you do something relaxing instead of rehearsing how you will take up the argument again.

Once your body has returned to normal, find your partner and continue the discussion. If your partner has also calmed down you will be in a much better position to have a productive conversation instead of an argument.

Add Spice to Your Marriage and Bring the Passion Back in Your Marriage by Gerry Restrivera

Marriage is a long journey with your spouse and if you do not know how to add spice to your marriage, it could get stale. A boring marriage can lead to a lot of marriage conflicts like infidelity, misunderstandings and worse lost of interest or love. There are things that you can do to take care of your marriage and here are some tips:

Put attention to your physical appearance. This is not only applicable for women but also for men. You both have to mind your looks while being married. Married people have the common habit of looking smart and beautiful at work but at home they do not mind about their appearance. If your appearance looks boring at home, your spouse might get tired or just want to go out and see other people. Although looks is just superficial, it is also important to keep your appearance at its best if you want to add spice to your marriage. Put an effort to always look good anywhere and anytime. It will also make you feel better if you look good.

Share a laugh together. No matter how long you have been together, there is still room to make some jokes and laugh together. There are still new things that you both can find to enjoy with and you do not have to be serious all the time. Life could be so boring if you just worry about the necessities of life and no time to tease each other and laugh once in a while. Add spice to your marriage and learn to share laughs once in a while.

Set a regular romantic date. Living together and seeing each other every day is not enough to strengthen your marriage. Most of the time couples are busy running errands, working and worrying other things about the family and forgot to spend time together. Although family gatherings and attending school activities for your kids are good bonding time for the whole family, sharing time alone with each other is different. You both need to spend time with each other alone to add spice to your marriage. Plan a romantic date at least once a month to keep your connection stronger. A dinner, movie or go out dancing will add more happy memories and will bring the two of you closer.

Spice up your sex life. It is a fact that sex is an important aspect of marriage. If you are not happy with your sex life, problems may arise like infidelity. Some couple fall into the trap of treating sex as an obligation and just a routine. They keep doing the same thing at the same time at the same place losing its excitement. If you feel sex is getting boring, then try something new and encourage your spouse to be creative too. Both of you must be open to talk about your sexual fantasies and are allowed to fulfil the satisfaction you both need with each other. Even if you have been together for a long time now, there are still new things you both can do to make sex more exciting and add spice to your marriage.

Marriage is a very important relationship that you have to keep love and harmony especially when things are getting rough. If you feel that your spouse is losing interest or getting bored you have to know how to add spice to your marriage to bring back the love and passion in your marriage. The Best Bachelorette Party Games by Denise Bergeron

When you're throwing that big party for the soon-to-be bride, it's expected that things might get a little out of hand. What good is a bachelorette party if it doesn't go a bit over the top? Your games can get a bit naughty, too!

Here are a few ideas for games that will make all the ladies blush: Spin the Dare. Similar to the old Spin the Bottle, this game involves dares for the ladies at the party! Make the dares a little embarrassing, or a little intimidating, but don't go too far - you want fun, not regrets! Include things like "Talk dirty to a guy" or "Buy the married guy a drink." Make it simple, but naughty enough that you can't get away without blushing!

The Male Rating Game. Ask willing men at the bar or club to give themselves up for a good cause! Invite them to do a strip-tease for you, or better yet, ask them to grab a pole and show you their naughty dancing moves! Rate the men on a scale from one to ten, as if you were judging an athletic competition. The ones with the top scores get to compete against each other for the top prize - which just might be a kiss and a drink from the lovely bachelorette.

Complete the man. Find a willing male to help you with this one. Ask him to stand in one place, and the ladies all get blindfolded when their turn comes around. Spin them so they don't know which way is up, and then hand them the "macho" to pin on the man - with tape, of course. The fact that they are doing this to a real guy instead of a paper figure is where the fun begins! Watch the ladies blush and stammer as they inevitably touch some "inappropriate" place.

These are just a few of the naughty ideas for a fantastic bachelorette party!

Hiring Wedding Limousine Services by Rafi Michael

Hiring wedding limousine services entails making the most informed choices after comparing the wedding transportation services on offer. It calls for early preparation on the individual's part. One should start conducting research on the wedding limousine services available as early as possible. This enables one to make a thorough comparison of the services on offer with the accompanying costs from the various wedding transportation companies in good time. This is because wedding limousines are usually in high demand all year round. Early research helps one make room for any unexpected changes. Most wedding limo providers offer information on their services on the internet.

When looking for wedding limousine services, there are a number of areas to base the search on. These would include cost. Wedding limousine service providers compete for clients. Therefore, one should go for the most comprehensive value-for-money offer. The best deal would be from the company offering the lowest possible prices for the most comprehensive service. It is important to verify that there are no hidden or extra charges beforehand. The number of guests to be carried in the wedding limos must be considered to determine the size of wedding limo to request for.

The other area to consider when sourcing for the wedding limousine is the model and the physical state of the wedding limo. Newer and established makes of wedding limos are more likely to give better services and smooth, comfortable rides than older models. When booking for wedding limousine services, one should enquire on the hourly charges of the service. The longer the duration of hire, the higher the resulting cost.

Good wedding transportation service companies have fully qualified, competent and experienced drivers in their official uniforms during execution of work, usually in tuxedos or suits. In addition, the wedding limos should be fully insured and road worthy.

The other important area to check with the wedding transportation company is the variety of services on offer. The best wedding limousines on offer are supposed to have extra features on their standard catalogue. The typical and ideal wedding limousine services package would include an extra package such as interior and exterior wedding limo decorations; a floor carpet, a courteous and ready-to-help chauffeur fully at one's service; complementary champagne bottles; a wide selection of beverages such as wine, beer, hard liquor, soft drinks, fruit juices and water. Flowers, balloons, ringing bells and a "just married" sign would top up the wedding transportation package.

At all times, an impeccable red carpet wedding limo service on the part of the wedding transportation company delivered in style and substance should form the benchmark of quality service measurement.

An ideal interior entertainment system package for the wedding limo should include, but not be limited to, the following: a karaoke system, CD/DVD player, ice cooler, air-conditioned interior, satellite radio, mini kitchen, an open bar, snacks, neon flashing lights, mini kitchen and dance floor.

The key points to consider from a perfect wedding limousine service provider and wedding limo are luxury, safety, comfort and class delivered in the most elegant, professional, personalized, and exotic style. This is to give the most memorable and pleasurable wedding and wedding limousine experience possible.

Intimacy 101: Is this Intimacy or Dependency? by Dr. Richard Nicastro

Couples often seek marriage counseling because of difficulties with intimacy. Why are so many couples struggling with intimacy? In order to fully connect with your spouse/partner, you need to share the deepest parts of yourself while maintaining a separate sense of self. This balancing act isn't always easy and there may be times when it feels like you've given so much of yourself that you feel lost or that the old you is nowhere to be found.

A deep emotional connection needs to include two separate, well-boundaried individuals, as well as the blending of two souls (the "we" that becomes the relationship).

Intimacy and dependency: How are they different?

When you're in an intimate relationship you will:

~set out on new adventures with your partner because they matter to him/her; ~temporarily place your needs on hold in order to make your partner a priority; ~leave your "self" (the recognizable you) at times in order to step into your partner's emotional world; ~re-surface as a separate, autonomous individual after intense moments of connection; ~challenge and bring out the best in each other.

When an unhealthy dependency has taken hold of the relationship, you will:

~continuously neglect your own needs in order to appease your partner; ~often be motivated out of fear and/or guilt (fear that your partner will abandon you or become angered; guilt over having interests and joys that are your own); ~ repeatedly defer to your partner; ~have difficulty thinking for yourself (especially when faced with decisions); ~feel that your opinions don't matter.

We all depend on our spouse/partnerâ€"for support, validation, guidance, love, and companionship. When you stop depending on one another, you become two separate beings on parallel journeys. Intimacy (the "we" resulting from commitment and a deep connection with another person) demands that you take risks and rely on each other.

But intimacy and unhealthy dependency are very differentâ€"intimacy fills your soul and allows the best you to emerge; dependency is disempoweringâ€"it forces you to close off your truest self, your essence.

The power (and joy) of getting lost in intimacy

There may be times when you feel pulled under by the currents of intimacy. You can fight against these experiences (and try to always remain a separate "I") or try to remain open to these powerful forces. When submerged, you have moved beyond your individualistic "self" and entered into a new kind of experience â€"a shared connectedness that goes beyond the two people who make up the experience. This merger might result from a powerful sexual experience, a shared spiritual undertaking or an empathic connection that leaves you momentarily unrecognizable. This level of intimacy is magical and can be transformative.

Such intensity can also be frightening. When fear overtakes the experience, you may fight to reclaim your autonomous "self" and swim against these currents in order to gain a more comfortable footing and distance from your partner. You may need an emotional lifejacket that will allow you to feel safe within the depths of intimacy.

You may need an intimacy lifejacket

Self-trust will be a necessary part of your intimacy lifejacketâ€"an important component of self-trust is having (or learning to have) healthy boundaries that will help you to re-emerge as a separate person after moments of deep connection with your partner. Without healthy boundaries, you're in danger of drowning in the depths of your partner's experiencesâ€"his/her needs will overtake you. To help secure your intimacy lifejacket, you'll also need a trustworthy partnerâ€"someone who respects your boundaries and who will give you the support you'll need as you both head into the deeper waters of connection.

The Perfect Marriage Does Not Exist by Daryl Campbell

Forty nine percent of all marriages in the United States end in divorce. While that number may pale in comparison to Sweden's sixty four percent, it is still off the charts.

It's easy to blame those numbers on the changing society. There is some school of thought which believes that a return to 1950's standards is just what this country needs. After all the divorce rate was only about ten percent. The belief in some quarters is that couples took their vows more seriously back then and worked harder to make their marriage a success.

But in many ways looking back to a bygone era with rose colored glasses or blaming the decade to follow for the "declining standards" is a copout. The primary reason for the success of failure of any marriage has always been the same; and that is whether the two individuals involved can make it work.

One of the ways to increase your chances of success rate is to accept the fact that there is no such thing as a perfect marriage. The courting stage all the way up to the walk down the aisle and the honeymoon may be the most wonderful period of your life. No arguments, both of you on the same page when it comes to decisions and goals. Everyday it feels like the love and bond you share cannot get any better but somehow it does.

That's all good and hopefully the two of you will take some of that magic and use it as a foundation to build your long term relationship. The problem is too many couples fool themselves into believing that the magic will take care of itself or that it will always be there exactly as it was during the dating phase.

That is not so. Marriage is like farming. The land may be beautiful with good soil and the potential to yield an incredible harvest. But it will either stay as it is or grow more barren and wither away if someone does not take the time, energy, patience and lots of hard work to make it a success.

Sure there are circumstances outside of your control that can make cultivating the marriage difficult. This is why it is essential that you and your spouse keep reaffirming to yourselves and each other that you both are in this for the long haul. Accept that it is going to be tough going at times but also acknowledge that you knew this going in.

You also understand and accept each other's strengths and weaknesses. Nobody is perfect so suddenly being "surprised" at a character trait that you once thought of as cute is not going to cut it. And don't try to change your significant other to someone more to your liking. Doing so will only make the both of you miserable. People have to develop and grow in their own way. You can only help with that not force it upon them.

All too many couples have let themselves be deceived by the dating stage of their relationship. They really believe it's going to be music and sunshine all the time with very little effort needed on this part. This love in bloom will forever and always carry them to the land of marital bliss. If it were so than the divorce rate would be at zero percent. Marriage is a tough road with many obstacles. Nothing is promised but accepting that it is going to take hard work and constant commitment from each of you can make the journey a little easier.

The Fun Part of Planning a Wedding by Juhlin Youlien

The spectacle of a wedding day celebration is due to careful and timely planning. It isn't all peaches and cream. There is a lot of work involved in planning a wedding day. Often times it can become stressful and disheartening to plan. What fun can be found in planning a wedding day? There are several really fun things you can do before your wedding.

Deciding where to go on a honeymoon can be exciting. It is rare that I hear of a bride or groom complaining about planning to go to Hawaii, Costa Rica, or somewhere that you may have never been before. I heard a psychologist say that sometimes planning a vacation has more fulfillment than the actual vacation. It is something that you can definately look forward to as a newly married couple.

Engagement pictures can be very fun. This is a time that you and your spouse can just have fun with each other and show everybody you know how much you love each other. There isn't a lot of pressure about an engagement photo. It is just a time to be yourself with your future spouse. Also consider getting an engagement video! Many times guests to weddings will come from far out of town and may have not ever have met your new husband or wife. A video is a good way for guests to see you as a couple. They can see how you interact with each other and get to enjoy the reason why they are there at the wedding ceremony. Professional videographers will often call this a "Love Story". The video will tell a short story more or less about your love for one another. It is usually put to music and is just a few minutes long. But it has a lasting impression on those who view it. It is definitely something that will be fun to do.

Cake tasting is my personal favorite. Picking out a wedding cake is one of the joys especially for the groom. Grooms may complain about the planning process for a wedding, but they will never complain about the cake tasting. When else in your life have you been able to take several different flavors of cake like you do with a box of chocolates. It is a subtle joy, but it is very fun.

Getting engage hits the top of my list for the most fun things to do before a wedding. It is like the climax of life up to that point. Sometimes it is a surprise, sometimes it is a long awaited proposal, but nonetheless it is very exciting. When I gave my wife her wedding ring it was a surprise and it was very special to us. We knew we were to get married, but we thought that it would be down the road. I flew to her home state without her knowing just to get permission from her parents to ask her to marry me. While there I bought the perfect ring and flew home. My soon to be wife thought I was on a camping trip. When she least expected I got down on one knee and proposed to her. We were both in tears and it was a night I will never forget. It was EXCITING! I loved that time and my wife and I can reflect at that night for the rest of our lives.

The wedding day is a celebration of the most meaningful union we will ever take part in. There are many things you and your future spouse will get to enjoy leading up to that special day. Make sure and take advantage of the planning process and enjoy it.
